How To Plan Your Day Like A Boss

You are reading this right now because you are a high achiever and you love to take action. But did you know that achieving success is 80% mindset and only 20% action? 

All action without focus on mindset is a recipe for overwhelm, underproducing and burnout, my friend. But don't worry-I'm going to show you how to use both mindset and strategy to create an empowering, productive day, everyday.


Did you know we have about 60,000 thoughts a day and about 90% of those thoughts are exactly the same as we had the day before. And hold on to your hat for this one - 80 percent of our thoughts are negative. Obviously, this is not the best headspace to create success.

If you are willing to focus on noticing and changing your thoughts, you will set yourself up to be unstoppable. Really. There won't be any situation or obstacle that you can't handle.

Here is a simple strategy to help you create powerful, positive thoughts:

 Notice how you are feeling about doing something.  Do you have resistance? Fear? Confusion? Now ask yourself why you are feeling that way. Every feeling comes from a thought we are thinking. Let's say you're feeling resistance about creating a training for your team.  Write it down.

I feel afraid to create this training because __________________. Now fill in the blank.

I feel afraid to create this training because some people on my team know more about this topic than I do and I'm scared I'll look stupid.

OK, now your job is to "try on" a new thought that your brain will not reject as truth. You can't simply choose to change your thought to "I'm the smartest person in the room" or " I know more about this topic than anyone on my team" because your brain won't believe it and you will continue to feel afraid.

But what if you switch your thought to something like this:

Some people know more about this topic than I do, and that's ok. I'll still be able to bring valuable information to my team.


My presentation will not be 100 percent new information but some people in the room will benefit greatly from this training.

Do you see how the new thoughts are feel empowering and believable? You've just successfully created a powerful mindset to move forward with creating something great and you are no longer paralyzed by fear.

Now let's get into the action steps to be ridiculously productive, shall we? 



I’ll be the first to admit, planning and strategy doesn’t come easily to me. I am a quick start, let the wind take me kind of gal so it’s easy for me to float through life, chasing all the shiny objects but that isn’t the most efficient way to run a business.

I needed a plan that was SIMPLE to follow and easy to incorporate into my daily life.These 3 strategies I'm going to share with you now have made all the difference in the world for me!

Here are my 3 favorite productivity tips you need in your life.


  1.  Schedule the results you want to produce on your calendar. For example: instead of scheduling 2-4pm write book, schedule 2-4pm complete introduction and chapter titles for book.
  2.    Anticipate potential obstacles.  Knowing ahead of time that you will run into an obstacle or two helps to keep you moving forward when they arise instead of stopping you in your tracks and killing all your momentum.  Ask yourself this question “what could come up that will keep me from moving forward?” And spend a few minutes finding a potential solution. For example:  I am creating an online course but I don’t know how to use the platform. I will schedule some time in my calendar to go through the tutorials. Now, the obstacle has become a strategy.
  3.  Don’t sit in indecision.  Over thinking  about making a decision FEELS productive but it’s actually the opposite. It’s a HUGE time and energy suck.  Pull the trigger. Make the decision and start taking action. Practicing the skill of decision making builds self trust like nothing else. 💥
